How does a soccer game end if the score is tied?

In soccer, a tied game doesn't always mean the end. Depending on the tournament or league, games that end in a tie might go into extra time. This is usually two halves of 15 minutes each to try and find a winner. If it's still tied after extra time, a penalty shootout often takes place. However, in some leagues, a draw is perfectly acceptable and the game simply ends.
